The 2016 Theta Charity Antiques Show is finally here! We’re so excited to enjoy A Touch of Gold with all of our wonderful Exhibitors, Speakers, Designers, Experts, Underwriters and (of course) YOU.
We want to be sure you have the best possible experience while perusing this year’s art and antiques, so here are a few tips to be sure your time at the Show is wonderful:
- Will I have trouble parking?
One of our favorite things about Bayou City Event Center is the ease of parking there. There is a large lot available for self-parking right next to the building, and there will be valet parking available during all Show hours.
- Is there food at the Show?
The Theta Antiques Show includes a Tea Room where food and beverages may be purchased.
- Are there accommodations for strollers and wheelchairs?
Yes! The Show is wheelchair accessible, and strollers are permitted (although we recommend compact strollers due to aisle width).
- What if I’m looking for a specific Exhibitor or item?
Maps with Exhibitor locations will be available at the Show entrance. Looking for a specific item? Ask one of the Exhibitors! They are the experts and will love helping you track down the perfect piece.
- How can I get the most out of my time at the Show?
Here are a few tips we’ve gathered over the years: (1) Bring personal cards with your name and phone number and pass them out to exhibitors with the item you are looking for jotted down. (2) Know more about what you are seeing by researching the items you collect before you come to the Show. You will be more confident in your purchasing decisions. (3) Because the Show occupies such a grand space, be sure to note the name and booth number where your favorite items are displayed. After hours of browsing, walking and talking it is easy to forget where you were when you saw that prized piece!
- I have questions that aren’t answered here. Whom may I ask?
The TCAS Volunteers are available to help! At the Show, they are identified by their golden name tags in the shape of the signature TCAS coffee pot and will be delighted to answer any questions. Additionally, you may visit our contact page to email the coordinator for a particular area of the Show.
